I’ve been practicing the spiritual laws of God, good, since I was a teenager. In my mid-20’s, on the cusp of studying voice at a conservatory, the message came in a flash. “This isn’t it.” I thought. “It’s the practice!” In other words, the practice of Christian Science. Because I’d been praying about this for years, I switched careers immediately. And since then I’ve never stopped searching for deeper ways to apply these provable laws in the healing work.  

All the traditional thinking that the world seems to accept as “life” is faced down with Christian Science. As we unpack the radical power of infinite Love, we discover that each of us—not some, or a lucky few— is spiritually whole, healthy, intact. When prayer sets us free from challenges—physical difficulties, job issues, financial concerns, emotional and family problems—our lives are transformed.

 

And it doesn’t stop there. When we come to see there never was a personal life to “prop up” or “fix”— that something far more profound is going on—this understanding ripples out beyond ourselves, embracing humanity.

 

Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science, summed it up like this in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures: “Are thoughts divine or human?” she asked. “That is the important question.” 

 

And when we start asking that question, answers come.
